Currently taking new clients for Sex Therapy on a referral basis and online only. Referrals can be made by Doctors, Physiotherapists or other Counsellors.
As a Registered Clinical Counsellor, specializing in trauma and then Sex therapy, it has been my pleasure to serve clients for the past 17+ years. In my counselling career, I have been able to help adult clients (19+) work on their relationship with their own sexuality, work through past traumas, and understand how these impact them in sexual relationships with others.
It has been an honour to assist my clients in gaining the necessary insights about these issues, which have led to increased self-awareness and skills, mental well-being and peace, and a greater capacity for positive, pleasurable sexual relationships and intimacy. If you wish to improve your sexual relationships and/or intimacy, this is a place to begin.
I am a member of the American Association of Sex Educators, Counsellors and Therapists (AASECT), and teach ‘Sexuality Development and Sex Therapy‘ in university Master of Counselling programs. I have also worked in Trauma Centres, with First Responders, MCFD, and Justice System clients.
I have provided service as an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS, BCACC) for Practicum students/agencies (12 years), and am a Clinical Consultant with private practice Counsellors. I have provided student adjudications and Clinical Supervision to students through Master of Counselling programs with: Adler University, City University – Vancouver & Victoria, the University of Victoria, and Yorkville University.
Prior to becoming a Counsellor, I was a Wellness Educator at the University of British Columbia, taught courses in Health Education and managed the student Wellness Centre, and have been a Provincial Consultant for various Health Promotion projects, including with Health Canada and the B.C. Ministry of Education.
With Masters’ degrees in Counselling Psychology and in Curriculum and Instruction, I have 40+ years of experience in the Health and Wellness field.
