Not currently taking new clients. As a Registered Clinical Counsellor, specializing in trauma and Sex therapy, it has been my pleasure to serve and help clients for the past 16+ years. At this time, I am limiting my focus to teaching and supervising Master of Counselling students.
In my career I have seen adult clients (19+) who wished to work through past traumas, work on their relationship with their own sexuality, and individuals and couples who wished to improve their intimacy/sexual relationships.
It has been an honour to assist my clients in gaining the necessary insights about these issues, which have led to increased self-awareness, mental well-being and peace, greater capacity for positive relationships/intimacy, and more positive sexual experiences.
I am a member of the American Association of Sex Educators, Counsellors and Therapists (AASECT), and teach ‘Sexuality Development and Sex Therapy‘ in university Master of Counselling programs. I have also worked with accident victims, First Responders, MCFD, and Correctional Services’ clients.
I currently provide service as an Approved Clinical Supervisor/Consultant (ACS, BCACC) for practicum students, private counsellors and agencies. I have provided adjudications and clinical supervision to students through Master of Counselling programs with: Adler University, City University – Vancouver & Victoria, the University of Victoria, and Yorkville University.
Prior to becoming a Counsellor, I was a Wellness Educator at the University of British Columbia, teaching courses in Health Education and managing the student Wellness Centre, and have been a Provincial Consultant for various health promotion projects, including with Health Canada and the B.C. Ministry of Education. With Masters’ degrees in Counselling Psychology and in Curriculum and Instruction, I have 30+ years of experience in the Health and Wellness field.
